Healthy Performance Protein Powders, Bars, Cereal, Pretzels, Chips, Drinks, and Snacks
Protein is an essential nutrient which comes from the Greek word “protos” which means first. Proteins are made of amino acids commonly known as the building blocks of the body. The human body is full of proteins. They are in every living cell in the outer and inner membranes. Proteins are in your hair, nails, skin, muscles, bones, red blood cells, and plasma. Your body needs protein to build new cells, maintain tissues, and make new proteins that make it possible for the body to function the way it is meant to function.
The ability to see, think, hear, move, in fact, just about everything that we do on a daily basis requires protein in one way, shape or form. The ability to digest foods requires protein. The average person requires at least 70-100 grams of protein per day or about 300 calories worth. The best way to get protein is to eat fish, chicken, veal, turkey, skim milk, eggs, tofu, seaweed (found in our Protein Powder), and on occasion, red meat, liver, and pork products. Even snacks on our program are designed to contain protein.
